There are actually 4 phases involve to create a Podcast:
1. Preproduction (learn about podcast and garage band, decide a topic, write a script, create a slogan, practice) : Term 2 Week 1-4
2.Recording (record the audio files) : Term 2 Week 3-5
3.Postproduction (edit your files) : Term 2 Week 6-9
4.Publishing (upload your files): Term 2 Week 10

Homework:
1.Please get a partner to form a group.
2.Discuss and decide with your partner the topic of your podcast.
3.You may choose to do a YOG related podcast and introduce YOG to the world from your point of view OR an audio podcast / enhanced podcast for a picture book.
4. Do some research for the topic that you are interested (eg: search from the web, borrow a picture book)

Example: Audio Podcast for a picture book
Here is one example combining voice, background music and echoic words to create a very interesting story (yes, I know, this is not a "podcast". However, for the very talented pupils, you may want to draw the pictures of your selected picture books, in that case, you will be creating an "Enhanced Podcast". For the rest of you, please ignore the image, then it will be a "Audio Podcast" that we will be creating for this term.)

Example: Audio Podcast for news
here is another example (please start watching from 0.34 seconds onwards) combining slogan, background music, voice to create a rather formal news (for those who choose to do YOG related podcast, and yes, please ignore the image unless you want to draw pictures relevant to your YOG topic).
